Maintenance Hauling Bridge

The Hauling Bridge Maintenance Project was initiated to address urgent structural integrity concerns affecting a critical bridge that supports PT Makmur Lestari Primatama’s material hauling operations in North Konawe. Continuous heavy-duty truck traffic has contributed to deterioration in both the superstructure and substructure, necessitating a strategic intervention to ensure safety and maintain uninterrupted logistics flow. This project, launched in 2025, represents a proactive effort to mitigate operational, safety, and financial risks.

The project scope encompasses comprehensive structural assessment, targeted repair and strengthening works, and the application of long-term protective systems. Key activities include Non-Destructive Testing, concrete and steel rehabilitation, strengthening of critical elements, anti-corrosion coating applications, and the restoration of functional components such as bearings and expansion joints. These interventions aim to restore the bridge’s load-bearing capacity and extend its service life.

Through this program, the company expects significant operational benefits, including enhanced safety performance aligned with engineering standards, uninterrupted material hauling operations with optimal productivity, and an extended service life of the bridge by an estimated 10–15 years. The project also contributes to minimizing future capital expenditures by delaying the need for a new bridge construction.
